| Cross Country Endorsement
This course follows on from RPC syllabus. The course includes all ground theory, long briefs, dual and solo navigation flight time, ground and flight tests required for the awarding of a cross country endorsement. With this endorsement RPC holders can fly in fine weather around Australia outside of controlled airspace.
You are ready to leave the nest! You’ll complete this package if you are wanting (or have been guided by our team) to complete your Navigation in the RAAus system. You will not need a medical for this qualification but as a result you will also not be allowed to enter controlled airspace on your own until you have an RPL though you will complete all of the training to do so if you plan on needing that ability. You will complete theory training for two days then self study to pass an RAAus Navigation Exam. You will then fly approximately 17 hours where you will gain experience in cross country flight and navigation as well as visit airports that you have never been to before so that you can learn how to arrive and depart safely.
The package includes all of the theory and practical experiences needed to gain the Navigation endorsement. When you are ready, a flight test will be completed by your instructor (Or CFI) then you can leave the 25NM radius and explore Australia by Air.
At the completion of this package you will be ready to convert over to CASA licensing if needed with RPL conversion training. In this case you will receive a CASA nav endorsement in that process as well as the straight RPL. If you use this pathway you will need to complete a Controlled Airspace assessment flight in a CASA registered aircraft to add that endorsement.
