Private Pilot Licence
So you already have your RPC or RPL and are looking for the next step? Once you have achieved your RPC you will want to fly anywhere in Australia or maybe buy your own aircraft as well as be endorsed to carry up to 5 passengers.

What you can do with a PPL?
• Carry up to 5 passengers as Pilot In Command.
• Fly anywhere in Australia including controlled airspace (Class C – CTA) for example to Brisbane or Melbourne
• Complete further advanced training including Night, Instrument Flight and Multi-engine
Are there any medical requirements?
• In order to hold a PPL you need a Medical conducted by a DAME (Designated Aviation Medical Examiner). To book an appointment, click on the link below:

A Class two basic medical may also be an option. These can be issued on the spot by many DAMEs and will allow you to conduct most operations that private pilots desire. Discuss your plans with us and your DAME before selecting the appropriate medical.
What’s involved?
• Approximately 20 hours of flight training on a VH (CASA) registered aircraft. You will add to your existing flying knowledge and build skills on how to navigate the aircraft from point-to-point.
• At least 5 hours of solo cross country navigation in addition to all your previous RPL or RPC flying milestone is required before you go for the flight test. Once your instructor is confident with your ability you will need to take the flight test with a CASA approved testing officer, to receive your PPL.
• A compulsory weekend or evening theory course with us, where you will cover all the required material to prepare you for sitting your PPL theory exam. Modules will cover Meteorology, Navigation, Performance, Human Factors, Aircraft General Knowledge, Aerodynamics and Air Law.
